RSP’s Limbu received only 96 votes in his ward

KATHMANDU: Milan Limbu of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), who is trailing candidates from UML and Nepali Congress, as well as an independent candidate, was left disappointed by voters in his own ward.

Limbu received only 96 votes in Ward 2 of Mangsebung Rural Municipality. He was expected to get most of the votes in his ward.

UML’s Suhang Nembang received the highest 586 votes in this ward, while Dambar Bahadur Khadka of Nepali Congress polled 351 votes. Independent candidate Dakendra Thegim received 317 votes.

Vote count in the remaining wards of Mangsebung Rural Municipality is underway. A tough contest is expected between UML’s Suhang and independent candidate Thegim in the remaining wards of the municipality.

As per the latest count, UML’s Suhang has built a lead of nearly 3,000 over NC’s Khadka. While Suhang has received 10,003 votes, Khadka is trailing him with 6,944 votes. Independent candidate Thegim is third with 5,591 votes, while RSP’s Milan Limbu has received 1,443 votes.
