Price of petrol down by Rs 7 per liter, diesel by Rs 5 per liter

KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation has lowered the price of petrol by Rs 7 per liter. Similarly, the prices of diesel and kerosene have been reduced by Rs 5 per liter.

With this adjustment, petrol will retail at Rs 171 per liter in Kathmandu. Similarly, diesel and kerosene will be available for Rs 154 per liter.

The new prices will come into effect from Wednesday midnight, according to a statement issued by the Nepal Oil Corporation.

“We have made an adjustment in fuel prices as prices of petrol and diesel/kerosene forwarded by Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) on Wednesday are down by Rs 6.75 per liter and Rs 5.09 per liter, respectively,” NOC added in the statement.

IOC is the sole supplier of petroleum products to Nepal.

NOC has kept the prices of aviation turbine fuel and liquefied petroleum gas unchanged.
