Judge Bhuvan Giri arrested from Samakhushi

KATHMANDU: Judge Bhuwan Giri has been arrested in Kathmandu.

Giri has been accused of marital rape by his wife. After investigating a complaint by his wife, District Police Office, Kapilvastu, had sought a court order to arrest Giri. The District Court, Kapilvastu, allowed police to arrest Giri for investigation on April 5.

District Police Office, Kapilvastu, arrested Giri from Samakhushi on Tuesday in coordination with District Police Office, Kathmandu.

Giri is currently posted at Judicial Council. His wife filed the complaint when he was working as the District Judge of Kapilvastu.
