KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has said that the Prime Minister will soon appear in parliament and respond to questions raised by lawmakers.
Speaking to journalists at the parliament complex in Singha Durbar on Thursday, Lamichhane said that the Prime Minister would soon attend the meetings of the House of Representatives. “We will make an official announcement shortly,” Lamichhane said.
Opposition lawmakers have been obstructing the lower house, demanding that the Prime Minister attend meetings to respond to queries raised by lawmakers.
Prime Minister Shah has not attended any meetings of the House of Representatives since walking out midway during the presentation of the government’s policies and programs by the President on May 11.
Lamichhane also said the party was preparing for its general convention. “The convention will help guide the party forward in an appropriate manner,” he added.
