One dead as bus hits scooter in Pokhara

POKHARA: A young woman died while another was injured in a road accident in Pokhara on Tuesday night.

According to police, Khushi Pradhan (19) of Khasibazar in Pokhara-14 died when a bus heading to Kathmandu from Pokhara hit her scooter near the Pokhara International Airport at Chauthe in Pokhara-14. Khushi and her pillion rider, Dipika Gurung of Simalchaur in Pokhara-7, were rushed to the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences, where Khushi succumbed to her injuries.

Dipika is reported to be out of danger, according to the police.

The police have taken the bus and its driver under control for further investigation into the accident.
