
KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has submitted its pre-budget review report to the Ministry of Finance.
According to the NRB, Acting Governor Dr Neelam Dhungana Timsina handed over the report to Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Timsina said the report was prepared after conducting studies and discussions across various parts of the country.
Receiving the report, Finance Minister Paudel said the report will be valuable in preparing the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
In the report, the central bank has highlighted different issues like the excess liquidity in the banking system, challenges in credit expansion and strategies to foster a conducive investment environment in the coming days in the report.
The government is bringing the budget for fiscal year 2025/26 on May 28.
