KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has raised the prices of petrol and diesel/kerosene.
Issuing a statement on Tuesday, NOC raised the price of diesel/kerosene by Rs 2 per liter and petrol by Re 1 per liter. With the fresh revision, petrol will retail in Kathmandu Valley and other urban centers at Rs 163 per liter, while diesel/kerosene will cost Rs 153 per liter.
NOC said it revised prices based on the price rates forwarded by its sole supplier – the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
NOC, however, has reduced the price of aviation turbine fuel by Rs 2 per liter for domestic carriers and $15 per kilolitre for international carriers.
The state-owned petroleum monopolist has kept the price of liquefied petroleum gas unchanged.
