Nishikhola accident death toll rises to nine

KATHMANDU: The death toll in the Nisikhola passenger bus accident has reached nine.

The bus, heading to Kathmandu from East Rukum, met with an accident at Jaulepani on Mid-Hills Highway in Nisikhola Rural Municipality-6 of Baglung on Monday evening.

The deceased have been identified as Lucky Pun Magar (18) of Dang, Binita KC (27), Babidel Nepali, Tika KC (35), and Kalpana KC of West Rukum, Man Singh BK of Rolpa, Gita Thapa of Gorkha, and Bikram Pariyar of Rukum East, according to RSS news agency.

Likewise, 28 others were injured in the accident. Twenty-seven of them are receiving treatment at Dhaulagiri Hospital, Baglung Bazaar, while one is being treated at Burtibant Primary Health Post.
