New govt under Maoist leadership: Dahal

KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Thursday claimed that a new government will be formed under his party’s leadership within a month.

Addressing a program organized at Nagdanda in Annapurna Rural Municipality-1 of Kaski, Dahal said that the existing coalition will get continuity in the new government. He claimed that the Maoist Center will lead the government.

“We had set a target of winning 25 seats under first past the post (FPTP) voting. But we fell short of the target as Nepali Congress failed to show honesty,” he said, adding: “We adhered to the spirit of the electoral alliance, but they didn’t.”

Dahal also said that his party has proposed the ruling coalition to form government in Gandaki Province Assembly under the leadership of the Maoist Center.
