NC lawmakers to provide their half month’s salary to quake survivors

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) lawmakers have decided to contribute their salary for 15 days to support the rescue, relief, and rehabilitation of the earthquake survivors.

A meeting of the NC parliamentary party held on Sunday decided to provide the amount to the government. The meeting, chaired by NC President and parliamentary leader Sher Bahadur Deuba, also expressed condolences to the families of the earthquake victims and prayed for the recovery of the injured people, according to Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak.

A magnitude 6.4 earthquake with the epicenter at Ramidanda in Jajarkot has claimed 105 lives in Jajarkot and 38 in Rukum West.
