KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) has inducted 22 women leaders to its central committee.
Presenting his organization report at the central committee on Wednesday, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal had proposed to increase the size of the central committee to 407. Dahal had said more women needed to be nominated to the central committee to uphold the spirit of inclusiveness.
Maoist Center had been facing criticism over the insufficient representation of women in its committees.
With these new nominations, the size of the Maoist Center’s central committee has reached 407.
The newly nominated central committee members participated in the ongoing central committee meeting held on Friday.
