ITAHARI: Chief Minister of Kosi Province, Kedar Karki, has directed officials of the provincial government to enhance spending capacity for the successful implementation of the budget for the current fiscal year.
Speaking in a meeting with secretaries of the provincial ministries on Monday, Karki said there should be no delays or excuses in executing budgetary programs. “The provincial government is ready to revise any laws, procedures, and regulations that are impeding budget implementation,” he added.
Emphasizing the provincial government’s commitment to environmentally friendly and humane development, Karki said the government aims to expedite service delivery, ensuring it is fast, efficient, and of high quality. “Upholding civil rights, maintaining good governance, and accelerating work through institutional coordination are central to our policies,” he added.
Karki underscored the need for governance, development, and service delivery to thrive in an atmosphere of trust between politics and administration.
On the occasion, Provincial Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar Kafle assured the Chief Minister that all ministries and agencies would formulate a budget implementation action plan and submit it to the Office of the Chief Minister within 10 days. “All mechanisms must operate with discipline to collect estimated revenue from areas within the province’s jurisdiction, as outlined by the constitution, existing laws, and the provincial economic act,” he added.
