KMC lists out 71 immediate priority tasks

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has released a list of 71 tasks that need to be implemented with priority in the current fiscal year.

Basanta Adhikari, the Chief Administrative Officer of KMC, unveiled the list during a senior management team meeting on Monday. On this occasion, he urged all department heads to ensure the timely execution of these projects without any delays.

The list includes tasks like installation of high mast lighting, parking management for office premises and urban areas, operation of health promotion centers, community dog sterilization, and the establishment of monitoring indicators for effective implementation of projects.

Furthermore, the list encompasses activities such as installing glass railings on overhead bridges, regular footpath maintenance, transportation management, the construction of public restrooms, and the creation of breastfeeding facilities.

The KMC has allocated a budget of Rs 7.34 billion for infrastructure development in the current fiscal year.
