KATHMANDU: In an effort to enhance the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results of community schools, Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has opened applications to recruit 145 teachers.
KMC’s Education Department has published a vacancy notice to recruit 25 learning facilitators and 120 teaching assistants to assist and facilitate students appearing in the SEE examinations in different community schools. The notice was published on Wednesday.
The KMC is seeking to recruit five learning facilitators each for Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, and Nepali subjects. Additionally, applications have been invited for 60 teaching assistants each for Mathematics and Science subjects.
As per the vacancy notice, eligible applicants for the post of learning facilitators include retired university professors, secondary teachers, officers in government service, or those with at least 10 years of experience in different organizations. The KMC has offered a monthly compensation of Rs 37,500 for learning facilitations.
Similarly, those who wish to apply for the post of teaching assistant must be graduates with two years of teaching experience in related subjects. Teaching assistants will be paid Rs 15,000 per month, according to KMC.
