India-Pak Conflict: APF intensifies border security operations [In Pictures]

KATHMANDU: Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal has intensified border security operations, conducting 312 patrols and establishing 1,844 checkpoints within a 48-hour period in response to the evolving regional security situation.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shailendra Thapa, the joint spokesperson for the APF Nepal,
84 joint patrols with India’s Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and 288 solo patrols by APF personnel have been conducted along the Nepal-India border till Thursday morning.

APF started its border security operations on Tuesday morning.

Over 10,000 APF personnel have been mobilized across the Nepal-India border regions, according to DSP Thapa.

The APF has also strengthened coordination with Nepal Police, the National Investigation Department, local government representatives, and the public for real-time information sharing.
