KATHMANDU: Four political parties have formally announced the formation of the Socialist Front Nepal.
CPN (Maoist Center), Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), CPN (Unified Socialist), and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) announced the front by organizing an event organized in Kathmandu on Monday.
The joint declaration of the front was signed by Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav, Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, and NCP General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand.
Speaking at the event, NCP General Secretary Chand hailed the formation of Socialist Front Nepal as a significant milestone in Nepali politics. He said it is a rare occurrence that the parties in the government and those advocating for the rights of the people on the streets have come under one umbrella.
