KATHMANDU: Rabindra Dhant has advanced to the semifinals of the Road to UFC by defeating Kimbert Alintozon of the Philippines via a technical knockout in Macau on Friday.
In the second round of the bantamweight fight during the Opening Round of Road To UFC Season, Dhant dragged Alintozon to the canvas and floated into mount, postured up and eventually pounded out the finish, according to the UFC match report. “Dhant showed the full spectrum of his skills in booking his place in the semifinals,” it added.
Dhant will meet the winner of the match between Yunosuke Minami of Japan and Kasib Murdoch of New Zealand in the semifinal.
The winner of each weight class is guaranteed a contract with the UFC.
