KATHMANDU: Ganesh Nepali, 25, of Soru Rural Municipality-1 in Mugu, who set himself on fire outside the Department of Passport in Kathmandu on Thursday afternoon, has succumbed to his injuries.
SP Pawan Bhattarai, spokesperson for the District Police Range, Kathmandu, told Himal Press over the phone that Nepali died while undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital.
Nepali had sustained burns over more than 70% of his body and had been receiving treatment on a ventilator before he passed away.
