APF Nepal bids farewell to outgoing IG Aryal

KATHMANDU: The Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal bade farewell to its outgoing Inspector General (IG) Raju Aryal on Friday.

Newly appointed Inspector General Narayan Datta Poudel handed over a token of appreciation to Aryal during a ceremony held at the APF Nepal headquarters in Halchok, Kathmandu.

On the occasion, Aryal handed over the leadership baton and the APF Nepal flag to the incoming Inspector General. He also formally transferred all organizational responsibilities to his successor.

The cabinet promoted the senior-most Additional Inspector General Poudel to the rank of Inspector General on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Aryal said that reaching the highest rank in a security organization entrusted with safeguarding people and retiring successfully was a significant achievement and a matter of pride in his life. He also expressed gratitude to the APF Nepal personnel who supported him and the organization throughout his tenure.

Similarly, incoming Inspector General Poudel said that a life dedicated to national security never truly retires. “This is only the end of one chapter and the beginning of another responsible journey,” he said. “I extend my best wishes to the retiring IG Raju Aryal for a happy, healthy, dignified, and successful future. I am confident that his experience, guidance, and vision will continue to guide the organization in the days ahead as well.”
