Balen nets Rs 14.6 million from social media, music streaming

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has earned a whopping Rs 14.6 million from his social media accounts and music streaming sites.

According to property details made public on Friday, Prime Minister Shah, who is popularly known as Balen, earned Rs 14.6 million from his social media channels Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, as well as music streaming sites Spotify and iTunes.

Shah has 430,900 followers on TikTok, 4.2 million followers on Facebook, and 1.27 million subscribers on YouTube. His latest song, Jay Mahakali, has clocked 7 million views in just a fortnight of its release on YouTube. Likewise, his social media posts generate hundreds and thousands of likes and comments.

Similarly, he has 77,838 monthly followers on Spotify. He has uploaded nine songs on the platform.
