KATHMANDU: The trailer of the much-anticipated film Koshedhunga has been released.
If the trailer is anything to go by, the film focuses on family relationships. Actress Surakshya Pant plays the lead role in the movie, portraying a lively and cheerful character. The trailer depicts the ups and downs and challenging circumstances that she faces in her life after marrying the man she loves.
The film tells the story of Shital, played by actress Pant, a woman torn between love, hardship, and survival in a mid-hill village of Nepal, as her husband migrates to the Gulf. It explores sacrifice, unemployment and the price of dreams.
The film is written and directed by Saroj Paudel, the director of the blockbuster Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi. It is releasing across the country on August 28.
Alongside Surakshya Pant, the cast of Koshedhunga includes Aryan Sigdel, Richa Sharma, Niti Shah, Praveen Khatiwada, Manzil Kumar, Saroj Khanal, Hiunwala Gautam, Sneha Joshi and Sabita Regmi, among others.
A joint production of Nardevi Films and Sarangi Films, Koshedhunga is produced by Prebil Kandel and Kishor Anurag, while Dinesh Khadka is the Executive Director. Similarly, Nidesh Adhikari is the Chief Advisor of the film.
Cinematography and editing is handled by Khem Century, Aasis Abiral and Rhythm Kandel.
