CG ties up with India’s Reliance Industries to launch Campa drinks in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Chaudhary Group (CG) has partnered with Indian business conglomerate Reliance Industries Ltd to launch soft drink brand Campa in the Nepali market.

CG formally announced the partnership with Reliance Consumer Products Ltd, the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Ltd, amid a ceremony in Lalitpur on Monday.

Campa is a soft drink brand established in India in the 1970s. The brand has been on an expansion spree since its acquisition by Reliance Industries Ltd in 2022.

CG will manufacture Campa products at its plant in Manahari of Makwanpur. The Campa portfolio in Nepal will initially include Campa Cola, Campa Lemon, Campa Orange, Campa Energy Gold Boost and Campa Energy Berry Kick. According to the company, the 250ml Campa carbonated soft drink bottles (Campa Cola, Campa Orange and Campa Lemon) are priced at Rs 30 and Campa Energy Berry Kick 250ml PET will be available for Rs 40.

Commenting on the partnership, Ketan Mody, executive director of Reliance Consumer Products Ltd, said they were thrilled to launch Campa products in Nepal in partnership with CG. “Campa is a heritage Indian brand founded more than 50 years ago that continues to enjoy the love of the consumers. We are investing for the long term and see great potential for accelerated growth in the region,” he added.

Similarly, Nirvana Chaudhary, managing director of CG, said they were proud to collaborate with the leading global conglomerate Reliance Consumer Products to bring Campa to Nepal. “This partnership reflects our dedication to offering consumers high-quality, diverse beverage choices that are rooted in heritage,” he said. “We are confident that Campa will resonate strongly with local consumers who appreciate distinctive beverage options.”
