KATHMANDU: An ATR-72 aircraft of Buddha Air landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu on Thursday evening with only one wheel on its nose landing gear.
According to an official of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the aircraft, with 9N-ANH registration, from Janakpur landed safely at TIA. “The crew only discovered that one of the wheels on the nose landing gear was missing during the post-flight inspection,” the official added.
The missing wheel was later found on the runway of Janakpur Airport.
Buddha Air said in a tweet post that the aircraft has been handed over to its technical team after finding some technical problems.
