KATHMANDU: Himalaya Television has unveiled five sharks of its upcoming business reality television show Shark Tank Nepal.
Hemraj Dhakal, co-founder of IME Group; Ananda Bagaria, director of Nimbus Holdings; Ritu Singh Vaidya, managing director of Toyota Nepal’ Saurabh Jyoti, director of Padma Jyoti Group; and Cabinet Shrestha, chairperson of Agni Group are the five sharks, according to the television company.
Shark Tank, a remake of the British TV series Dragon’s Den and Janapese TV show The Tigers of Money, first premiered on ABC television in the US in 2009. It is aired in more than 10 countries.
The show features a panel of investors, or sharks, who listen to the pitch made by entrepreneurs and decide whether to invest in exchange for equity in the company.
