KATHMANDU: Nepal and China have signed agreements on eight areas of cooperation, including trade promotion and technical assistance, in the presence of their respective Prime Ministers.
The agreements were finalized following bilateral talks between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and China’s Premier Li Qiang at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Tuesday morning, RSS news agency reported.
Earlier, Prime Minister Oli was accorded a ‘Guard of Honor’ by the People’s Liberation Army.
Oli is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping later on Tuesday.
The Nepali delegation, which also includes Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, PM’s political advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal and economic adviser Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada, other high-ranking officials, representatives from the private sector and media persons.
Oli is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the Peking University and address the Nepal-China Business Forum.
