KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane is being transported from Pokhara to Rupandehi for questioning on Tuesday.
Lamichhane, a former deputy prime minister and minister for home affairs, is currently in the custody of Kaski police to investigate the alleged misappropriation of deposits from Suryadarshan Cooperative.
Rupandehi police will record Lamichhane’s statement regarding the alleged misappropriation of funds from Supreme Cooperative in Butwal.
Meanwhile, the RSP has planned protests in Bhairahawa on Tuesday.
Previously, the Rupandehi District Court issued arrest warrants for 12 individuals, including Lamichhane and former Nepal Police DIG Chhabilal Joshi, to investigate the misappropriation of deposits from Supreme Cooperative.
