KATHMANDU: The Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu has announced the launch of the Chinese Embassy Youth Pioneer Program (CNYP).
According to the embassy, the program is designed to foster leadership, innovation, and social engagement among Nepali youth, aiming to empower young pioneers in Nepal. It also seeks to create a network of dynamic, socially conscious individuals committed to advancing Nepal’s economic growth and social development.
The CNYP focuses on building leadership, fostering social progress, and engaging with local communities. Participants will undergo specialized leadership training, attend workshops, and benefit from cultural exchange opportunities. Leadership Development, Empowering Social Progress, and Community Engagement are the main objectives of the program, according to information posted on the embassy’s website.
The program targets Nepali youth aged 18-32, particularly young professionals, activists, and leaders from various fields, such as business, politics, and culture.
The embassy plans to organize leadership training and workshops, exchange initiatives, and networking events to meet its objectives. Participants can benefit from a series of interactive workshops focusing on leadership skills and strategic thinking. Additionally, they will have opportunities for exchange programs or tours to China to gain firsthand experience in field studies of Chinese development practices and beyond.
The embassy plans to select 10-20 participants for the year-long program.
