KATHMANDU: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal, Abrar H Hashmi, paid a courtesy call on Vice President Ramsahaya Prasad Yadav at the Office of the Vice President on Friday.
On the occasion, Vice President Yadav congratulated the Pakistani envoy on the successful elections and conveyed his best wishes to the new government in Nepal. Yadav said that Nepal and Pakistan have enjoyed close and cordial relations since the establishment of diplomatic ties on March 20, 1960, and emphasized the need for Nepal and Pakistan to enhance cooperation in trade and economic sectors. He also urged Pakistani investors to invest in areas such as hydropower, tourism, infrastructure, and science and technology.
Writing a post on X (formerly Twitter), Ambassador Hashmi said the two lauded excellent bilateral relations and agreed trade, investment, tourism and IT hold a huge promise.
