KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) posted a gain of 13.51 points and ended trading this week at 2,230.55 points on Thursday.
Share prices of 176 companies went up on Thursday, while 59 declined and 11 remained unchanged. Nepal Reinsurance Company Ltd (Promoter Shares) logged the highest turnover of Rs 562 million. Shivam Cement Ltd and Sonapur Minerals and Oil Ltd were next with turnovers of Rs 164.12 million and Rs 134.14 million, respectively.
Among trading groups, three trading groups posted losses while the remaining 10 ended the last trading day of the week in the green. Non-life Insurance posted the highest gain of 1.56%, while the biggest loss came from the Mutual Fund sub-index, which was down by a nominal 0.79%.
Shares worth Rs 3.19 billion were traded on the bourse on Thursday, while market capitalization reached Rs 3.19 trillion.
