KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a former cop on suspicion of murdering his wife.
Sher Bahadur Bhandari was arrested by the District Police Office, Achham, on suspicion of killing his wife, Urmila Bista Bhandari (40), of Laichaman in Mangalsen Municipality-3 of Achham.
According to DSP Santosh Pathak, Urmila sustained injuries to her head and other parts of her body. Urmila’s parents have filed a report at the police office, accusing Sher Bahadur of beating her to death.
Sher Bahadur retired from police service recently.
