KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) has sacked its central committee member Subash Karmacharya from the general membership, accusing him of working against the interest of the party.
Issuing a statement, Chief of Unified Socialist’s Publicity Department, Jagannath Khatiwada, said disciplinary action was taken against Karmacharya as he was found working against the interest of the party.
Karmacharya had been serving as the Sindhupalchowk district in-charge of the party.
Sources say Unified Socialist took action against Karmacharya after knowing that he was preparing to join CPN-UML.
“Since he continued to work against the party organization and interest several times despite repeated reminders, the 62nd meeting of the party’s central secretariat decided to sack him from the party’s general membership,” the statement said.
