KATHMANDU: The National Assembly has officially approved the budget for the fiscal year 2023/24.
During a meeting on Thursday, the National Assembly passed the budget with majority. The House of Representatives approved the budget on June 28. With the budget passed by both houses, the government is now able to commence implementation from the first day of the fiscal year 2023/24, which is July 17.
Minister for Finance Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has presented a budget of Rs 1,751 billion for 2023/24.
