Three missing as CTEVT’s jeep plunges into Sunkoshi River

KATHMANDU: Three persons have gone missing when a jeep lunged into the Sunkoshi River at Loukon along BP HIghway in Golanjor Rural Municipality-7 of SIndhuli district.

According to DSP Chiran Jivi Dahal of the District Police Office, Sindhuli, four persons were in the jeep with registration Ba 1 Jha 7467 heading to Khotang from Kathmandu. It belonged to the Center for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT).

Of the four persons in the jeep, one managed to swim back to the shores, Dahal said.

CTEVT’s Director of Planning Division Krishna Bahadur KC, Director of Policy Formulation and Projects Yam Prasad Bhurtel and Technical Officer Bhanu Poudel were in the jeep, according to CTEVT Vice Chairperson Khagendra Prasad Adhikari.

“We have deployed teams from the District Police Office for search and rescue operation,” DSP Dahal added.
