KATHMANDU: A female leopard died after being hit by a motorbike in Beni Municipality of Myagdi district.
The incident happened at Ghaiyara in Ratnechaur area of Beni Municiaplity-1 at around 7 pm on Tuesday.
“The motorbike hit the leopard while it was crossing the road. The animal died on the spot,” Rajendra Sapkota of Division Forest Office, Myagdi, told local news portal Beni Online.
The motorbike driver has been identified as Sushil Khatri. The driver is said to be safe.
The leopard, estimated to be around two years old, weighed 40 kg, according to Sapkota.
