KATHMANDU: Kiran Kumar Sah, who was elected to the House of Representatives from Bara-2 constituency as an independent candidate, has joined CPN-UML.
UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli welcomed Sah to the party at a function organized on Monday evening, party sources say.
Party Vice President and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel and UML leaders like Ajaya Kumar Gupta, Raj Kishor Yadav and Sheikh Fazil Haque among others were present on the occasion.
Sah had left UML just before the November 20 election to contest as an independent candidate. He defeated the common candidate of the five-party alliance, Fordos Alam of Nepali Congress, by nearly 7,000 votes.
