KATHMANDU: Yeti Airlines has canceled all its flights scheduled for Monday.

The domestic carrier took the decision after one of its ATR 72-500 aircraft crashed in Pokhara earlier on Sunday, killing 68. The aircraft was carrying 68 passengers and four crew members. The identity of the deceased hasn’t been ascertained yet.

Issuing a statement, Yeti Airlines said it was postponing all flights scheduled for Monday to pay tribute to people who lost their lives in Sunday’s crash. It, however, said rescue and emergency flights will operate.

The government has formed a five-member committee to investigate the accident and also ordered the aviation regulator to conduct technical examinations of all aircraft flying on domestic routes.
