Women commits suicide after killing two sons: Police

KATHMANDU: A woman committed suicide after poisoning her two sons to death in Jhapa district on Friday, police say.

According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, Anjali Besra (25) and her two young sons were found dead in their house in Bhotepul of Shiva Satakshi Municipality-3. “Bishal (8) and Ayush (2.5) were found dead, while the woman’s body was found hanging,” said DSP Krishna Kumar Chand of the District Police Office, Jhapa. “We suspect the boys were poisoned as traces of vomit could be seen in their mouths. We are investigating the case.”

Anjali’s husband is in Qatar for employment.
