KATHMANDU: A wild elephant has been found dead at Dandagaun in Buddha Santi Rural Municipality-3 of Jhapa.

According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, the male tusker was found dead in the paddy field belonging to Lal Bahadur Rasaili.

A team from the Division Forest Office, Jhapa, has reached the site for necessary studies.

This is the second wild elephant death in Jhapa so far in the current fiscal year.

Earlier in September, a female wild elephant was found dead near the Mechi River at Mechinagar-1 of Jhapa.
