KATHMANDU: US Ambassador to Nepal Dean R Henderson paid a courtesy call on Inspector General of Nepal Police Dheeraj Pratap Singh at the latter’s office on Friday.
On the occasion, Singh thanked the US government for the assistance that it has been providing to the police force. He also said he was hopeful that the cooperation would continue in the coming days as well.
Likewise, Ambassador Henderson appreciated the role played by Nepal Police in conducting the general election in a peaceful, impartial and fearless environment. He also expressed the US government’s commitment to make arrangements for training to produce capable human resources in the Nepal Police as well as for the development of technology, controlling cybercrime and the women and children sectors.
The two also discussed on matters of bilateral interest and mutual relations between Nepal and the US.
