KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) has decided to present a single common document for discussion in its upcoming 10th National Convention.
A meeting of the drafting committee chaired by party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal unanimously decided to present a single common document to further strengthen and integrate the party, Unified Socialist Spokesperson Jagannath Khatiwada said.
The decision means the party will incorporate differing views of leaders in the single document.
According to Khatiwada, the drafting committee held intense discussions on ideological perspectives of its socialist program and the future direction of the party’s organization. “Unified Socialist has decided to incorporate Nepal’s independence, sovereignty, geographical integrity, national unity, unity amidst diversity and promotion of goodwill in the party document,” Khatiwada added.
The national convention will hold discussions on the report approved by the statute convention along with the political and audit report. Unified Socialist has already sent the draft of its official document to its lower committees to collect suggestions and feedback from party leaders and cadres.
Party Chairman Nepal leads the 27-member drafting committee.
