UML’s Arjun Karki elected from Sankhuwasabha

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML candidate Arjun Kumar Karki has been elected from Sankhuwasabha in the House of Representatives elections held on Thursday.

Karki secured victory after defeating his closest rival in a closely contested race.

According to the Election Commission, Karki received 15,636 votes, while his nearest competitor, Mingma Sherpa of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, secured 15,000 votes.

The margin of victory between Karki and Sherpa stood at 636 votes.

Deepak Khadka of the Nepali Congress had won the seat in 2022.
