UML secretariat decides to ensure uniform understanding of Oli’s political report

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML Secretariat meeting has decided to ensure a uniform understanding and study of party Chairperson KP Sharma Oli’s political report.

Speaking after the party Secretariat meeting on Thursday, Deputy General Secretary Lekhraj Bhatta said the meeting placed special emphasis on ensuring a uniform understanding and study of the report, and communicating it to lower party tiers.

He said the chairman’s report has created a new sense of unity within the party. The meeting also held discussions on nominating leaders and cadres who joined the party unity process, as well as those who entered the party from various other organizations, to the Central Committee, he said.

“Some groundwork had also been completed regarding the Standing Committee. But the names will be made public only after the Central Committee formally endorses them,” he added.

Similarly, Bhatta said there was an understanding that the Central Committee would discuss the remaining issues and, if necessary, delegate authority to the Secretariat to finalize pending decisions.
