KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has demanded the resignation of Minister for Home Affairs Sudhan Gurung.
“CPN-UML strongly calls for an impartial and independent investigation into matters related to the Home Minister. The party clearly states that the investigation must proceed free from any form of power or influence,” a statement issued by Min Bahadur Shahi, chief of UML’s Publicity Department, said.
The UML has also urged the Home Minister himself to immediately facilitate the investigation process—without delay or cover-up—so that it can move forward fairly and impartially, free from any influence.
Home Minister Gurung has been accused of concealing investments in two micro insurance companies in the property declaration form submitted to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
