Two dead, 10 injured in Kaski jeep accident

POKHARA: Two people died when a passenger jeep met with an accident in Bhadaure of Kaski district on Sunday afternoon. Ten others were injured in the accident.

According to Kalika Battalion of the Armed Police Force, the jeep was heading to Bhadaure Deurali in Annapurna Rural Municipality-4 from Pokhara.

The deceased have been identified as Laxman Sunar (55) and Jayaram Sunar (52) of Pame in Pokhara Metropolitan City-23, according to District Police Office, Kaski.

The injured have been brought to Manipal Teaching Hospital and Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara.

APF personnel told Himal Press over the phone that the jeep veered off the road near the Thamdanda bend just before Bhadaure Deurali and fell 200 meters into the ravine.

The APF personnel and locals are involved in rescue work.
