KATHMANDU: Rescue workers have recovered two bodies from Himlung Himal.
According to the Nepal National Mountain Guides Association, 14 kitchen staff and two climbing guides from different companies had been missing after the avalanche in Himlung Himal in Manang on Sunday.
“Our rescue team — Mingma G., Pasang Kaji Sherpa, Ashish Gurung, and Pemba Tsiring Sherpa — reached the accident site by Prabhu Helicopter and has already begun the search and rescue mission. Four additional members of the rescue team are about to leave for Himlung base camp now at the airport,” NNMGA said in a social media post.
The association said the search for the missing guides and kitchen staff was ongoing.
