KATHMANDU: Public transport operators organized a demonstration in Kathmandu on Sunday as part of their nationwide protest against the ride-sharing regulations issued by the Gandaki Province Government.
Since Friday, public transport in Gandaki Province has been affected by the protest. Daily life has been affected as public transport vehicles have stayed off the road.
The Federation of Nepali National Transport Entrepreneurs has been demanding the withdrawal of the provision to allow private two-wheelers and four-wheelers to operate ride-sharing services in Gandaki.
