Tihar shopping in full swing [In Pictures]

KATHMANDU: Markets in Kathmandu are brimming with shoppers as the Tihar festivities near.

People can be seen buying garlands of Makhmali (Gomphrena globosa), Bhai Masala (assorted dry fruits and nuts), colors, lights and clay lamps at New Road, Indra Chowk, Asan, Janbahal and other areas of Kathmandu.

The five-day Tihar festival kicks off on Saturday and concludes on Wednesday with the Bhaitika festivities.
