Three houses swept by landslide in Sankhuwasabha

KATHMANDU: Landslide swept away three houses in Koktim settlement in Khandbari Municipality-11 of Sankhuwasabha district.

According to the District Police Office, Sahnkhuwasabha, a landslide swept away the houses of Mani Prasad Rai, Ram Prasad Rai and Dil Bahadur Rai on Wednesday night. Mani Prasad was injured in the incident.

Inspector Ram Kumar Lamichhane, the officiating chief of the District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha, told RSS news agency that the landslide has displaced nine families in different parts of the district.

The landslide has also damaged Koshi North-South Corridor Road. Likewise, five houses in Chichila-1 and 2 are at high risks after the landslide
