KATHMANDU: A week-long Sri Lankan food festival is underway in Lalitpur.

Sri Lankan Ambassador to Nepal, Ruwanthi Delpitiya, inaugurated the festival amid a ceremony at Vivanta Kathmandu Hotel in Jhamsikhel on Sunday. The food festival titled “Flavours of Sri Lanka” is underway at the MYNT Restaurant. It will continue until April 18.

The inauguration dinner was attended by heads of diplomatic missions based in Kathmandu, along with members of the business community.

The food festival features authentic Sri Lankan cuisine prepared by visiting chef Prashantha Gunasekara from Taj Samudra, Colombo.

According to the organizers, the initiative aims to offer guests a taste of Sri Lanka’s rich culinary heritage.

Vivanta Kathmandu is organizing the event in collaboration with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kathmandu.
