KATHMANDU: An AS350 B3e helicopter of Simrik Air met with an accident in Sankhuwasabha district on Friday afternoon.

According to locals, the chopper performing sling load operations become imbalanced and fell in the ground. The chopper carrying supplies for the Upper Arun Hydropower Project crashed at Siprung in Bhotkhola Rural Municipality-4, according to Wang Chhedar Lama, the chairperson of the rural municipality.

Five persons were injured in the incident. A Nepal Army helicopter is preparing to bring the injured to Kathmandu for treatment.
